Our MISSION

Approximately 400,000 children are in the U.S. foster care system. These children are being rescued from horrible abuse, neglect with little notice and are frequently given trash bags to carry their belongings.  Some of these children are recovered from trafficking situations.  An average of 35 children are removed in our circuit every month. More than 50% of these children are under 5 years old. By giving them new bags, we can help them overcome the symbolism that they and everything they own are trash.

About
What your donation means

Please help Guardians for New Futures provide duffle bags packed with children's essential items to give them hope when they enter the Advocacy Center and onto foster care.  These bags will support the 19th judicial circuit, which includes, Indian River, Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties. Giving them their own bag shows someone cares about them. Ava, a student at St. Edwards school in Vero Beach and her friends, are collecting donations for these bags filled with the following products and/or bags and products themselves.  Please donate only new items. Thank you!
